I am so excited that I won first place on my work in progress–Crossed–in the Romance Through The Ages Contest.
I changed my title from The Arrow and The Pistol to Crossed. My new series will be a Robin Hood time travel book, which is called The Magic of Sherwood. There will be at least four books in the series, and I’m thinking of doing a spinoff into the Three Musketeers, but I am not sure yet.
This first book is Robin Hood’s story, which is where Robin meets Bones and The Mummy. Marian is a tough police detective, hunting the criminal who murdered her brother. The criminal is into the Egyptian occult, and he uses a spell that transport both he and Marian back to the twelfth century England. He is determined to find two magical Egyptian artifacts that were lost, but were found during the crusades and brought back to England. With them, he would become powerful enough to destroy his enemies.
Marian meets Robin Hood who has troubles of his own. He is trying to convince his younger brother not to align with Prince John against Richard and then he finds himself on the opposite side of the law with him. But when Marian’s criminal becomes the new Sheriff of Nottingham, his troubles double. Marian and Robin must work together to defeat him and develop a love strong enough between them that will overcome evil.
It’s still a work in progress, but I hope to have it out soon.
